Associate Director, Project Management [United States]


 

The Associate Director, Project Management manages all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. The Associate Director, Project Management requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s).

Responsibilities

The Associate Director, Project Management designs, communicates, and implements an operational plan for completing the project; monitors progress and performance against the project plan; takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identifies, develops, and gathers the resources to complete the project. Prepares designs and work specifications; develops project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors. Communicates with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project. Conducts meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project. Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and coordinates project staff to meet project targets and milestones. Decisions are typically related to identifying and resolving complex technical and operational problems within department(s), and could lead multiple managers or highly specialized professional associates.

Required Qualifications

  • $ads={1}

    4+ years of project management experience
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Experience with management and creation of overall project plans and status reports for implementation
  • Experience with RAID and Q&A log management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medicaid and/or clinical implementation project management experience
  • Experience with SmartSheet, Quikbase and Excel

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
