The Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Supply Chain team is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst with exceptional communication skills, strong supply chain business acumen, and a passion and growth mindset geared towards supporting Starbucks and our licensee customers.


As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will be part of the amazing team that is dedicated to managing retail order fulfillment through processing and analyzing customer orders and developing and managing relationships with our partners across the Latin America and Caribbean region. This role touches all product categories from a lens of supply and order fulfillment offering a unique breadth of experience to support our customers across an array of cultural and geographic landscapes.


As a supply chain analyst - International, you will…

  • Book international shipments, coordinate with freight forwarders to resolve issues in accordance with established procedures, manage the timely flow of shipping documentation, ensure that all commercial shipping documentation is complete and accurate and meets the requirements of destination countries, maintain shipment records in accordance with customs and tax requirements.
  • Determine the optimal mode of transport, considering cost and transit time requirements. Work to develop transportation provider relationships.
  • Investigate root cause analysis of perceived service gaps to evaluate and recommend improvements to processes in Regional Support Centers (RSC), Starbucks Support Center (SSC), and Market Business Unit Supply Chain teams.
  • Monitor inventory target and reorder levels by working closely with Market Business Unit (MBU), ensuring that replenishment processes consistently result in timely and appropriate product volumes in Market Business Unit (MBU) warehouses.
  • Prepare cost and service key performance indicator (KPI) reports for key partners and customers. Provide input regarding the performance of service providers, Starbucks internal operations, and international partners. Use Key Performance Indicators to initiate cost reductions and service improvements.
  • Provide education and tactical support to markets in all stages of market development including training for: Forecasting, Order Capture, Transportation, Receiving, Receiving Variance Report (RVR), Inventory control, and Promotions. Work with (MBU) Market Business Unit on process improvement and identify opportunities for savings. Develop and deploy tools to enable the Market Business Unit (MBU) to move into the next stage of market development.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between international partners and Supply Chain and Coffee Operations (SCCO), Starbucks Coffee International (SCI), and Store Development on product availability, distribution and transportation issues, order confirmation, shipment tracking, expediting, and other aspects of the order fulfillment process. Act as a consultant to international markets on best practices for order fulfillment.
  • Work with operations management, Starbucks Coffee International (SCI), Regional Support Center (RSC), Market Business Unit (MBU), logistics provider and local supplier to resolve internal and external issues ensuring efficient store order management for retail supplies and store development.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • 3+ years of Customer Service or related experience.
  • 3+ years of Supply Chain experience and/or degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required
  • Oracle Order Management experience a plus but not required
  • Candidate fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
  • The successful candidate will have the ability to be well organized and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems
