At TOMRA we are growing our high-performance Business Intelligence and Analytics team, that is developing and delivering high-value insights to our global audience of business professionals. This is a rare opportunity to join a global market leader and a supporting and outcome focused team in the cutting-edge field of enterprise level Business Intelligence and Analytics as a Data Engineer.
As a member of TOMRA Food Global BI and Analytics Team, you will report to the Business Intelligence and Analytics Manager, and you will play a key role in building reliable and high-performance, reliable, and scalable data pipelines and exchange layers using your advanced skills with the MS BI stack and MS Azure Cloud solutions. You will work with diverse data sources, from enterprise level platforms to custom built applications and file repositories. Your problem-solving skills, resilience and mastery of the data management lifecycle will be critically important to deliver high value solutions, data marts and semantic/business layers to provide accurate, relevant, accessible and timely data to both the BI and Analytics team and the highly skilled analysts in business areas.

You will be part of a virtual team based in Europe and NZ. Some of the expected hours for this position will be outside standard work hours.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop data solutions across multiple platforms, including but not limited to Azure Cloud, Dynamics 365, and Power BI.
- Design, build and manage high-performance data pipelines and solutions and implement business layers to support complex business processes.
- Develop custom integrations with third-party applications.
- Design and implement data security and privacy controls without compromising user experience.
- Design, implement and manage data quality solutions across multiple data pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent proven experience.
- 3+ years of experience in developing data solutions in MS BI stack, Azure Cloud, Dynamics 365, and Power BI platforms.
- Strong technical knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL databases, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Dynamics 365, Power BI, REST APIs.
- Strong experience in data modelling, building, and maintaining business/semantic layers.
- Strong understanding of data security and privacy controls.
- You have a hands-on, and open-minded approach, with a mentality to not give up easily once data engineering challenges become more complex.
- Business focused, you are customer centric and are able to communicate with stakeholders where required.
- Have strong numeric, analytical, and problem-solving skills with eye for detail, at same time maintaining an overview.
