About the department
You will become part of our CLINiC Quality department located in Gentofte, Denmark.
The CLINiC is currently under development and will be responsible for conducting multiple clinical pharmacology trials conducting First Human Dose studies. The CLINiC works closely with various partners within Novo Nordisk as well as externally across the Danish life science ecosystem.
The CLINiC is part of Global Translation , where we drive all clinical development of products from early development phases to product introduction and life cycle management. IT and digital solutions are a crucial part of the operations of CLINiC, and some of the main focus areas in the department are seamless integration with relevant initiatives from across R&ED and securing data quality and continuity by minimizing manual data entry and monitoring.
Besides being allocated to CLINiC, you will be a part of R&ED IT together with a team of IT Architects, where you will be able to spar with like-minded people and use each other skill set to bring the best solutions to our stakeholders.
About the position
In this position, you have experience in building system architecture covering Infrastructure, Integration design, Data Architecture and work closely with other related domains such as database design, ETL processes, and data warehousing. Furthermore, the department works with the Agile framework SAFe therefore, experience with agile methods is preferred. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and aligning the IT landscape across the unit with compliance regulations.
Lastly, you will be the main driver as an architect in supporting agile teams.
Responsibilities
Some of your core responsibilities would be:
- Develop and align the IT landscape across the CLINiC, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability while identifying and prioritizing technical initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in various areas such as data, network and infrastructure, cloud-based apps, integrations, and vendor management.
- Collaborate with Release Train Engineer and business stakeholders to ensure IT systems align with business needs, and architectural runway is continually being improved.
- Develop technical solutions and strategies that align with CLINiC vision and industry best practices.
- Work closely with RED Architecture team to ensure that Architecture principles & guidelines, best practices are constantly established, evolved, and aligned across DD&IT.
- You bring Secure by Design mindset, to ensure IT systems are secure, reliable, and in compliance with regulations, identifying and mitigating technical & physical risks, and supporting the guidance and management of the DevSecOps team.

You find it important to ensure stable platforms and applications for our researchers, and at the same time you are excited to work with new technologies and are able to quickly learn new concepts. You are curious and enjoy engaging with vendors as well as stakeholders.
In addition to this, the ideal candidate will have previous experience with the following:
- Relevant experience as a Solution Architect (4-5 years).
- Experience working with the Agile framework SAFe, or other agile methods.
- In-depth knowledge of network and infrastructure, cloud-based apps, integrations, and vendor management and relevant compliance frameworks (GDPR, GcP, ISO2700, abbreviation ect.).
- You have a technical education and enjoy being hands-on in working out the best solutions for the researchers.
- Lastly, excellent communication skills. You should be confident and assertive in managing vendor relationships while also being empathetic to the needs of our primary stakeholders: the researchers.
Furthermore, you are team-oriented and have a strong personal drive to achieve goals. We expect you to be service-minded and thrive in a busy environment. Finally, you have professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
