Position Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk- Pasadena, CA

Position Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for reviewing and filling out shipping paperwork and ensuring the correct items are shipped out to customers. This role is also responsible to support warehouse operations by receiving incoming material, counting and inventorying items, and receiving and checking the contents of packages against packing lists and manifests.
Essential Functions:
- Utilize computer hardware and software to generate labels, pick orders, and pack orders.
- Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, roller ladders and fork lifts as needed.
- Ensure that products processed for shipping are delegated to correct courier.
- Assist in incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and conditions of shipments.
- Adhere to work procedures, work schedules, and maintain workflow.
- Follow established shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
- Ensure products are shipped and received correctly.
- Perform all restocking activities including restocking the shelves and rearranging products as needed.
- Notify Supervisor of any situation where wrong parts are delivered, parts are received incorrectly, or if skids come in damaged.
- Assist in shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
- Direct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
- Post weight and shipping charges – generate freight quotes for customer service.
- Receive and put away inventory receipts accurately and efficiently
- Perform all restocking activities including restocking the shelves and arranging products as directed
- Utilize software and reports to support improved processes, inventory, and quality of shipments
- Review, research and resolve all physical inventory counts (errors to be amended)
- Support inventory management best practices
- Support and maintain inventory locations throughout warehouses (bin locations, mfg. inventory locations, etc.)
- Assist workers in day to day shipping and receiving activities.
- Assist in other areas as needed and performs other duties as assigned in order to support the department.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of warehouse experience (preferred)
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Knowledge of weight scales
- Familiar with pallet jacks
- Safe handling of and experience with hand trucks and roll ladders
- Fork lift certificate (preferred)
- High school diploma (required)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to safely operate a forklift, hand truck, roller ladder and pallet jack.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unaided
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to walk and be on feet 85% of the day
- Must be able to type, bend and reach
Environment:
- Typical warehouse setting.
- Exposure to industrial conditions when working in warehouse.
- Must be able to handle varying levels of stress.
- Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, printers, fax machines etc.
