Art Ceramic Tile Ltd is a tiling company based in Queenstown and we are currently seeking for Labourer to join our great team in Queenstown area.
We are seeking someone who is hard worker, strong physically, competent in grouting both porcelain and stone tiles, silicone bathrooms and who can work independently as well as alongside others. Maintaining our reputation for a quality finish is critical, having work standards that meet both ours and our customers’ expectations is therefore important.
Our successful applicants will have:
- Ideally 1 year as a Labourer in a Tiling company but not necessary. Training can be provided for the right candidate if you have no experience previously.
- To have experience is an advantage but not a must. However, you just HAVE to be hard-worker and fast-learner;
- Cut and shape tile to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces and corners, using hand and power cutting tools;
- Prepare various surfaces grinding the floor for tiling, waterproofing, screeding, grouting, silicone, cleaning the surfaces properly;
- A great attitude and work with our team to achieve our targets;
- Ability to take direction from others and follow directions as needed;
- High level of responsibility, punctuality, reliability, and strong attention to detail;
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials like boxes of tiles, stones and other supplies safely;
- Loading and unloading building supplies, materials and tool;
- You will be responsible for mixing glues, grouting, cutting, silicone and site clean-up;
- To keep the site clean will be your responsibility;
- A respectful, enthusiastic, honest and presentable demeanour;
- A good level of physical fitness;
- Good attitude with desire to learn and up-skills;
- Knowledge in underfloor heating installation, waterproofing, screeding and grouting would be an advantage;
- Clean police and drug record are required for this role; Drug test will be required before hiring and eventually after;
- Flexibility to work over weekends and some long days (when necessary);
- Good references from previous jobs will be required!
- Full driver’s license;
- Ability to work under pressure.
