The Global Business Optimisation team has a simple mission: we turn massive amounts of data into actionable insights that drive business value. Our analytic consultants and data analysts are 3DS Authentication experts and work with Visa’s clients and staff to improve portfolio performance, program profitability and cardholder experiences. By coupling in-depth analysis of cardholder behaviour with Visa’s world-class products, digital offerings and marketing capabilities, we ensure our clients’ programs operate at their peak potential and that cardholders have seamless commerce experiences in both the physical and digital world.
As part of the Client Services (CS) organization, the Analyst will help to deliver this vision to our clients. In this role, you will use subject matter expertise in authentications, analytical skills, contextual business sense and a creative flair to solve real world business challenges for Visa issuing banks, acquirers and merchants
This role derives analytic insights on client authentication performance and helps to deliver findings from those analyses to external and internal stakeholders. Prior to completing an analysis, this role will formulate and source the necessary datasets from internal tools and platforms, rendering insights in compelling presentations and visualizations.
Specific activities may include:
Create and present Authentication analytic deliverables to external Visa clients, colleagues in the analytics team, and other internal stakeholders with varying degrees of analytical and technical expertise
Specific knowledge development on 3DS authentications, with active monitoring and client meetings to help them optimize authentication performance
Get to an understanding of root problems, define analytical objectives and formalize data requirements for various types of analyses.
Combine and analyse disparate data sources and derive insights in a Big Data environment
Work with a pan-European team located in multiple locations and contribute to global projects on 3DS Authentication
Proactively facilitate the overall analytic delivery strategy for the organization
Compare client performance against industry best practices with a shrewd eye towards identifying performance and/or profitability improvement opportunity
Assist in the presentation of complex data and content to clients in an accurate, understandable and engaging manner taking into consideration that stakeholders have varying degrees of analytical and technical expertise by translating analysis and insights into stakeholder & client language
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of the EMV 3DS Authentication and/or Authorisation process is preferable
- Basic experience visualizing data with tools like Tableau and/or Power BI
- Introductory to intermediate sql/parsing knowledge
- Experience working in an insight delivery environment with a proven record of creating business value from data
- Strong verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills
- Great analytical, quantitative and client presentation skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools – Word, PowerPoint with basic to advanced Excel skills
- Proactive, curious, problem solver with experience of being a self-starter and has a willingness to learn
- Flexible, adaptable and able to think quickly
- Proven ability to thrive in high pressure situations and a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English is required while knowledge of an additional European language is a plus
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a corporate environment
- Additionally, an internship experience gained ideally in a Payment scheme or Financial business would be an asset
