Fraud Specialist Data Analytics [United States]


 

The Fraud Specialist Data Analytics reviews suspicious and fraudulent activity (under established monetary threshold) within the credit union and determines optimal resolution (such as account restrictions, member contact, referral to an investigator, etc.)

Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:

Job duties

  • Write reports, document evidence and findings, alert triage and case creation

    Escalate complex fraud activity to Fraud Investigator as necessary and appropriate
  • Appear at court hearings and trials as deemed necessary
  • Monitor fraud risk tools and procedures to assist in detecting suspicious patterns and trends
  • Review and analyze data/activities from branches, contact center, internal stakeholders, and industry trends and evaluate to determine patterns or areas of potential risk
  • Educate staff and stakeholders on fraud trends and associated behaviors

Essential skills

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the financial services industry with an emphasis on fraud related activities
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to foster strong internal and external business relationships
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of risk concepts
  • Broad knowledge of credit union operations including functions, regulations, products and services
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Certification/License: CFE preferred
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business Administration or other related fields of study) is preferred

Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 (HYBRID)

Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $51,000 to $57,000 annually + annual bonus
