Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in developing WordPress themes and plugins. As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites and customizing existing themes and plugins to meet client requirements. You should have a strong understanding of WordPress architecture, development best practices, and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain WordPress-based websites, themes, and plugins according to project requirements.
- Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specifications and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
- Collaborate with designers and project managers to translate design concepts into functional websites, ensuring a visually appealing and user-friendly interface.
- Optimize website performance and ensure code quality, following industry best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of websites to identify and resolve any issues or bugs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in WordPress development, and proactively suggest new ideas and techniques to enhance website functionality and user experience.
- Provide technical support and assistance to clients or team members when required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, content creators, and marketers, to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in WordPress development, specifically in creating themes and plugins.
- In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Strong proficiency in developing custom WordPress themes from scratch and modifying existing themes to match client requirements.
- Familiarity with responsive web design principles and mobile-first development approaches.
- Experience working with popular WordPress frameworks, libraries, and page builders (e.g., Bootstrap, Elementor, WPBakery).
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality WordPress projects within tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering pixel-perfect websites.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and plugins, such as WooCommerce.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and implementation within WordPress websites.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
- Understanding of web accessibility standards and WCAG compliance.
- Experience with performance optimization techniques, caching mechanisms, and server configurations.
