Summary of Job Description:The L&D Curriculum Designer is responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders, conducting needs analysis, and researching best practices to assist in the development of training curriculum for both Operations and Support Center associates. This position maps learning curriculum to competencies for each job and helps more senior curriculum designers and trainers in identifying appropriate key performance indicators (KPI) to assess individual GO and SC courses both for their content and training methodology. This position will track associates through the courses to determine the impact of training on their job performance. The L&D Curriculum Designer also assists with external recognition and rewards for PRG training programs and serves as project administrator of the application process with external organizations.
You’ll get a chance to:
- Responsible for conducting analyses to determine the effectiveness of L&D training programs for both Operations and Support Center associates; assists in identifying appropriate key performance indicators (KPI) to assess individual GO and SC courses both for their content and training methodology.
- Track associates through the courses to determine the impact of training on their job performance based on KPI and career progression.
- Lead focus groups with stakeholders and PRG associates to gather data for curriculum design content. Conducts continuous research studies on new course materials and training techniques, benchmarking best practices.
- Work with more senior curriculum designers and trainers on updating and standardizing training materials and improving existing training content and methods based on benchmark data on best practices as well as participant feedback.
- Assist with researching and designing UOP courses and learning offerings.
- Map learning curriculum to competencies for each job; supports efforts to maintain and update curriculum as needed to match business needs, metrics, and learner feedback.
- Conduct training programs and facilitates small group sessions as assigned.
- Work with project manager on completing external recognition and rewards applications and serves as administrator of the application process with external organizations

Your background & experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional/Curriculum Design, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably in a retail/hospitality operations environment,
- If hired, successful completion of annual store training
- If hired, must provide proof of full vaccination on start date, unless prohibited by federal, state, or local law. Full vaccination means two weeks or more have passed after receiving the second dose in a two-dose series, or more than two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine. Examples of proof of full vaccination include an original, photocopied, or digital completed vaccination card that includes name, type of vaccine provided, and date of last dose administered.
