We have a permanent opportunity for a Secondary Systems Paraprofessional to join the team in Cairns and are inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates.
The Role
This position is responsible for performing complex technical work under limited supervision utilising technical principles, practices, techniques, and human relation skills, and includes fault diagnosis and co-ordination of activities in the Secondary Systems work area. As part of your role you will be required to undertake installation, testing, repair and commissioning tasks limited to complex electrical system component and be responsible for the provision of a safe work environment through the identification, development, and implementation of risk control measures.
Salary ranging from $127k.
You will be required to conduct a pre-employment medical.
Before you apply make sure you have:-
- An electrical trade qualification with completing of relevant training and recognised experience.
- Relevant Associate Degree or other AQF Level 6 recognised qualification.
- Demonstrated knowledge and proven experience in the secondary systems area, coupled with the ability to provide leadership and technical support to individuals and teams.
- Switching Operator Transmission, Switching Operator Zone Substation and Switching Operator Lines Overhead & Underground is desirable but not essential.
- A current 'C' Class Drivers Licence.
- The ability to travel to undertake work.
