Sr. Proofreader - Marketing
Work Schedule: Eastern Time Zone, Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm
Hours: 40 per week

Description:

The Senior Proofreader will work directly with the Creative Director, Marketing colleagues, Copywriters and Designers to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all proofreading projects.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Proofreading customer-facing and internal materials for grammar, typography, composition, content, and accessibility compliance, including ads, direct mail, print campaigns, stationery and digital for a variety of internal customers. Become proficient in CVS Health® branding and corporate standards by keeping up to date with formats, legalities, and style guide content. Responsible for making sure assets follow approved style guide standards and trademark usage and are legally compliant. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will have the ability to multitask. The candidate must have flexibility in a rapidly changing environment and possess excellent organizational skills. The candidate must work well as part of a team but must also be able to work independently.
  • Project manage and prioritize work across multiple projects and must be able to identify and resolve inefficiencies and capacity issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' related experience in an advertising and marketing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, accurately, professionally, and diplomatically, both verbally and written, at all levels.
  • Must have experience with Word, Excel, and Acrobat.

InDesign skills preferred.

  • Performs proofreading tasks with a high degree of accuracy and an eye for consistency and detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain information in strictest confidence.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make good editing decisions.
  • Experience in an advertising and marketing environment is preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize assignments.
  • Expanded skills to provide editing when requested preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Workfront workflow system (or equivalent)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Mac applications a plus
  • Solid understanding of marketing communications
  • Up-to-the-minute digital skills; ability to troubleshoot and optimize digital systems to meet department needs

Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree in writing, English, Communications, Arts or other relevant major is required.

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.

Pay: $35.00 - $39.00 per hour
