You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth functioning of our financial operations. Your attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and understanding of accounting principles will contribute to the success of our organization. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Recording financial transactions: Accurately record all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, using appropriate accounting software or tools. Ensure that all transactions are properly categorized and supported by relevant documentation.
- Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable: Monitor and reconcile customer accounts to ensure timely collection of payments. Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and coordinate timely payments, adhering to payment terms and internal policies.
- Bank reconciliations: Regularly reconcile bank statements with the company's financial records to identify and resolve any discrepancies. Ensure that all deposits, withdrawals, and bank charges are accurately recorded.
- Maintaining general ledger: Maintain and update the general ledger by accurately recording financial transactions, adjusting entries, and reconciling accounts. Ensure that the general ledger is complete, accurate, and up to date.
- Assisting with audits and tax compliance: Support internal and external audit processes by providing requested documentation, explanations, and reports. Assist in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax filings.
- Maintaining confidentiality: Handle financial information with utmost confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies and procedures. Safeguard sensitive financial records and ensure compliance with relevant privacy regulations.
- Collaboration and communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and management, to ensure accurate and timely financial information sharing. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to address queries and provide financial insights.
