Travel Manager [Portugal]


 

Job Description:

We are recruiting a Travel Manager to join the Travel and Expenses Team at Airbus Portugal GBS!

Responsibilities - your mission

  • Advise the business on travel related matters to actively support the company’s travel strategy and targets.

  • Leverage individual preferences regarding the company’s business travel activities and travel policy and support arbitration process.

  • Support the Community Manager for the "myTravel" Community. Coordinate and initiate postings on behalf of the function. Ensure regular content checks of the different communication channels (HUB pages, Travel Community, KDS Neo).

  • Interact and interface with local AGBS colleagues on travel related topics, in particular with regards to lodge and corporate credit cards as well as travel expenses.

  • Contribute to define requirements and support the delivery of specifications for the RFP process. Support the on time and on quality deployment of the travel procurement strategies (i.e. new contracts).

  • Perform quality checks regarding corporate charter settings (e.g. schedule loading) and monitor performance, including provision of monthly statistics.

  • Contribute to projects and improvement initiatives with regards to the corporate travel process.

  • Provides support to our end users, in questions related to travel booking, over the phone and by email

Requirements - our ideal candidate will have

  • Background in corporate business travel management with experience as travel manager or similar position at a corporate travel agency / international travel supplier

  • Continuous progress and a sustainable travel program should be part of your professional mind-set.

  • Strong customer mind-set and ability to assess priorities in line with operational needs

  • Collaborating and interacting skills with diverse and remote located teams in a transnational environment

  • Experience in a customer interface role

  • Autonomy, proactiveness and capacity to take initiatives

  • Strong commitment to learn, develop, grow and build a career at Airbus

  • Due to the transnational environment it is a prerequisite that you are fluent in English in spoken and written forms

  • Further language skills are of advantage
