We are looking for a biologist to support our research and lab activities. The person will be based in Athens, Greece, and will be working as part of a team with immunologists, chemists, and medical doctors towards the evaluation of nanoparticle-based bacterial vaccines.
Tasks
- Independently conducting tests and experiments and reporting results
- Development and evaluation of immunological assays (e.g. ELISA, ELISPOT, flow cytometry)
- Bacteria handling
- Mammalian cell culture
- Performing literature research
- Master’s in Biology, Immunology or similar qualification
- Strong experience in immunological assays (ELISA and other in vitro binding assays will be a strong focus)
- Bacteria handling experience (bacteria cell culture, quantification, bacteria binding assays)
- Protein handling (expression, purification, analytics) is nice to have but not required.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to develop and implement new techniques.
- Very good knowledge of English
