Previous experience: Successful track record of selling complex, high value software into one or more of the following industries: food and beverage, discrete, transportation, process, energy, pharma or utilities.

The job
Our Sales Account Managers are responsible for the complete sales cycle, selling the AVEVA Industrial software portfolio, delivering to growth and revenue forecasts.
Key Responsibilities
Sell enterprise-wide contracts for the AVEVA Industrial software portfolio to the most senior levels within our clients.- Build and execute both territory and account plans, incorporating fundamental enterprise software sales strategies and prospecting to deliver accurate sales forecasts and meet revenue targets.
- Expedite resolution of key customer complaints and problems.
- Optimise AVEVA global and local partner relationships to positively influence the purchase of AVEVA products and services.
- Leverage internal expertise and resources within other functions to meet individual sales goals.
- Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of the industries, trends, and issues to effectively apply AVEVA’s technology solutions to meet the business goals of our customers.
- Maintain personal knowledge and skill levels with the AVEVA portfolio of products and sales support applications through annual and refresher training within the Company or designated external resources.
- Make compelling and professional written and verbal sales presentations addressing the business needs of the customer to propose AVEVA’s technology-based solutions.
Ideal Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not essential.- Proven direct sales experience, to include relationship building and selling within the most senior levels of client organisations.
- Software and automation background preferred.
- Successful track record of selling complex, high value business software and product agreements.
- Experience selling into the Food and Beverage, Discrete or Transportation preferred, process, energy, pharma or utilities industries would be an advantage.
- Experience with CRM applications like SalesForce is a plus.
- A demonstrable knowledge, interest, and skill in the use of Information Technology within the process and automation industry domain, typically derived from employment or consulting, is essential.
- Demonstrable experience of building success through effective teamworking and collaboration
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to manage positive and effective internal and external relationships.
- Must be customer-focused, and open to learning and growth opportunities.
- Motivated by results and ultimately long-term customer satisfaction.
- Well-organised and solution-focused approach to role is key.
- Good communication skills [written, verbal, and listening], personal tact and diplomacy, and excellent problem-solving skills are essential.
- Travel to customer sites is an essential component of this role.
