About the Role

  • Prepare, dispense and supply medicines from a prescription under the supervision of a pharmacist for checking and authorisation by a pharmacist.
  • Assist Pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing and distribution of controlled drugs, including maintenance of records and legislated stock counts.
  • Assist in inventory management including maintain and review stock levels of scheduled and unscheduled medicines and consumables, receiving, storage, distribution, stocktake of medicines, stock rotation and expiry date monitoring.
  • Assist in the effective and efficient storage of pharmaceutical items within the Logan and Beaudesert Hospitals, including Palen Creek Correctional Facilities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of pharmaceutical items throughout Logan and Beaudesert Hospitals, including Palen Creek Correctional Facilities.
  • Repack and label pharmaceuticals for use in hospital areas including Palen Creek Correctional Facilities in accordance with the requirements of the Code of Good Manufacturing Practice.
  • Participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of pharmacy services within the Logan-Beaudesert Hospital Facilities.
