The International Rescue Committee (IRC) helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their future. The IRC in Virginia places AmeriCorps members across three sites-in either Charlottesville or Richmond- and across multiple program areas- Healthy Futures, Education, Capacity Building, and Economic Empowerment. AmeriCorps members serve 1700 hours from September through August and receive an living stipend of $28,800. This is a great opportunity for those interested in non-profits and refugee resettlement.
