The Academic Counselor counsels students served by Honors Programs at UCLA regarding academic requirements and options and participates in the outreach activities of the unit. Other major responsibilities include serving as a resource for all Honors staff and extra-mural offices on matters pertaining to UCLA College of Letters and Science academic rules and regulations and student advising, on academic and curricular policies pertaining to College Honors and to other programs under the jurisdiction of Honors. In addition, each Academic Counselor has sole responsibility for the development, administration, and evaluation of individual curricular and service programs assigned uniquely to them, for which they are also expert resource persons for all colleagues and University offices. The position reports to the Honors Programs Counseling Director.
