MediaMonks is looking for an EMEA Account Lead to work on the world's most loved multi brand Sports account. In this lead client-facing role, based in Amsterdam, you will be at the intersection of account leadership, strategic and creative development and production, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the account across EMEA including the European Headquarters and key cities of Barcelona, Paris, Milan, Berlin & London.
Role & Responsibilities
- You're chiefly responsible for our major relationship in EMEA, overseeing the work we do for all of its brands, including strategy, creative & creative concepting and production.·
- As an EMEA Account Lead you're responsible for overseeing the successful organic growth of the individual brands that sit within your client's jurisdiction, and also for driving brand new opportunities on the wider client business.
- You oversee the program of projects liaising between the client and our own Monks to kickstart new assignments, ensure the smooth running of projects, whilst also spotting new opportunities
- You act as a strategic partner throughout, who understands the client's brand and business inside out, developing a roadmap for continued success.
- Backed by our global team of experts including a Global Account Lead, you're confident in providing expert advice across emerging technologies & content
- You are a digital native who understands Gen-Z & Alpha, trends & innovation and the entire content spectrum
- You are able to think like the client does and hold high level external conversations, whilst also liaising with teams to ensure excellence
- You are an incredible relationship builder and have proven experience in working with the biggest brands in the world.
- You can spin up a good-looking deck in no time and pitch it with guts and gusto
- You share best practices and learnings, working closely with team members on the account in other regions, particularly in EMEA, China & North America.
- You are responsible for the commercial health of the relationship in EMEA, working closely with your Executive Producer & Ops partner to optimise structure & ways of working and drive account-level efficiencies
- Safeguarding revenue growth, you look after business planning and development to make sure we hit targets and KPIs, identifying opportunities for new assignments that add value to all parties.
Requirements:
- This senior-level role requires someone who's experienced in managing multi-million euro relationships.
- With ideally 8+ years of industry experience and 2+ years in a lead role, you have a proven track record managing high-value and volumes of interdisciplinary work.
- You have a proven track record of people management and building teams. This role will include line management responsibilities to the brand business leads.
- You bring a broad understanding of what is needed to produce high-end content at a high pace in today's always-on environment.
- You have a keen understanding of the (digital) business objectives of global brands and are able to quickly fathom a project's challenges and what needs to be achieved.
- You don't think in projects but in partnerships, developing the client relationship and work-streams milestones ahead.
- Sports is in your DNA and you understand the ethos and drive of the world's biggest sports brand
- You will have a background in Sports or membership marketing and advertising and have a strong rap sheet of experience in a similar role.
