Description: BayCare Health is at present looking to employ NEONATAL RESPIRATORY THERAPIST - REGENCY CENTER FOR WOMEN AND INFANTS - RESPIRATORY CARE right now, this job will be placed in Florida. Under minimal supervision performs various therapeutic procedures and assessments specific to the care of patient populations in order to prevent or remedy patients’ respiratory problems. In doing so, establishes work priorities, organizes and when necessary assigns work to lower classified employees. Performs more complex and/or non-routine therapeutic procedures and regularly ! reviews patients’ progress to ensure physicians orders are f! ollowed, equipment is set-up and operating properly, and patients are as comfortable as possible. Is responsible for adult intubations in code situations in the absence of an anesthesiologist, and shares the responsibility of neonatal intubation and/or reintubation with the neonatologist and/or anesthesiologist. Qualifications

REQUIRED LICENSE:
Current Department of Health licensure by the State of Florida

Registered Respiratory Therapist with National Board for Respiratory Care

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION:
Certification in NRP within first six months and ACLS within first year of employment as a ! Neonatal Respiratory Care Practitioner

Certification in Healthcare Provider CPR

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Completion of American Medical Association approved technician program in Respiratory Care or fulfillment of either State or National Board for Respiratory Care eligibility requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one year progressively more responsible related work experience

PREFERED EXPERIENCE:
One year of neonatal experience

SPECIFIC SKILLS:
Knowledge of medical terminology, Respiratory Care procedures for patients of all ages, techniques and objectives and the administration of therapeutic medical gases and other medications
