Duties:
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Bay Pines, FL is seeking a full-time, Board Certified Anesthesiologis! t . The incumbent will perform as a staff anesthesiologist in the Medical/Surgical Care Line. The incumbent will be responsible for , but not limited to, direct supervision of perioperative anesthetic care to patients, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthetic administration and monitoring, and post-anesthesia care, in compliance with national accreditation standards. Types of surgeries include but are not limited to: major vascular, thoracic, general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, ophthalmology, podiatry , and oral surgery. Proficient in invasive monitoring and peripheral nerve blocks. Assignment will include rotational on-call coverage.

A relocation/recruitment incentive may be authorized for a highly qualified candidate upon management recommendation and approval.

Qualifications & Evaluations

  • Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Must be board certified or eligible.
